Yeast infection, also referred to as Candida is an infection with symptoms that include a burning sensation, itching, and reddishness. Although, it usually occurs in the vaginal area, making the women more susceptible victims, it can also occur in many different exposed body areas such as nails and mouth.

Yeast infection can be hard to cure, especially the recurring one. But, there are plenty of ways that can help a patient suffering from the irritating symptoms of this infection. There are easy to do steps that one can follow in order to stop the rashes, burning, itching, and discomfort, even for one who already has very sever Candida infection.

In order to stop the itching, one may apply diluted apple cider vinegar. This type of vinegar is very potent and has disinfecting and antiseptic property. If you are able to find one which has the ?€œmother?€ present, that’s even better. Mix 1 part vinegar and 8 parts water to make a solution. If you find this still a bit strong, dilute some more. Apply generously on the affected area and air dry.

In order to inhibit the growth of the Candida, a patient may also use tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is a cure for many skin conditions. It is particularly good for treating Candida because like vinegar, it has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. It is good for itch too. Make sure to dilute according to package instruction first before using. NEVER apply any concentrated essential oil on the skin as this may cause irritation and inflammation.

For another yet effective way to relieve itching and irritation brought about yeast infection, one may consider using boric acid. Disruption of the ph level and the now more alkaline conditions can trigger the growth of Candida microorganisms. Boric acid helps by neutralizing the alkalinity and bringing back the normal acidic area of the vaginal area.

In order to stop the itchiness and soothe the rashes caused by yeast infection, plain yogurt can be applied on the affected area. It is important that the yogurt is not left for too long or it might aggravate the symptoms. 3 to 5 minutes is enough. After that, you may wipe off with a tissue or cloth.
