Hodgkin’s disease is a cancer that starts in lymphatic tissue. It is types of cancer in kids and teens ages 10 to 14. Males are slightly more likely to develop Hodgkin’s. There are two kinds of lymphomas: Hodgkin’s disease and non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. Symptoms include painless swelling of the lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, or groin ,fever and chills ,night sweats ,weight loss , loss of appetite and itchy skin. Hodgkin’s disease that arises in the lymph nodes in the neck spreads first to the nodes above the collarbones, and then to the lymph nodes under the arms and within the chest. Bone marrow or peripheral stem cells may lead to prolonged remission.
People who have had illnesses caused by the Epstein-Barr virus, such as infectious mononucleosis. A person with Hodgkin’s disease usually becomes aware of one or more enlarged lymph nodes, most often in the neck but sometimes in the armpit or groin. About 10% to 15% of cases are diagnosed in children 16 years old and younger. Others feel tired or find themselves sweating a lot during the night or losing weight without trying. Enlarged lymph nodes in the chest can cause a cough, pain in the chest, or difficulty breathing. There are two general types of treatment used for hodgkin’s disease chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Chemotherapy uses strong medicines to fight the disease.

ABVD is a newer regimen, with less-severe side effects, and is currently the preferred treatment. Bone marrow or peripheral stem cells may lead to prolonged remission.
